Welcome to SERC’s Online Registration!  Below are the steps you will need to follow in order to navigate the Web site and register for a SERC workshop:

  1. Browse the workshops.  Click on Workshop Overview to see workshops listed by Title or click on Workshop Calendar to see all workshops available in any given month.  Click on a specific workshop and you will see an overview of that session. If the registration deadline has passed or no seats available online, please call SERC to speak to a contact or download an application form (under the Resource link on left) and mail or fax it to us.
  2. Submit your application.  New users need to fill in the necessary information, including SERC Member number, on the registration form before starting the workshop application.  You can call us to request a SERC Member number if you do not have one or if you are unsure of what it is. Please click the "Apply" button to start your application and click the "Submit" button to finalize the registration process. There will be a pop-up box with information confirming this process.
  3. Check your application status.  Go to “My Workshops” to check your application status.  Workshops are based on a "first-come, first-served" enrollment process and you will be accepted immediately as long as there are seats available.  You can print "My Workshop" page as a confirmation letter and there will be no other acceptance letter sent out. If you don’t see the workshop you registered for, call SERC and have the receptionist direct you to the appropriate contact person for that particular workshop.
  4. Pay for the workshop.  SERC accepts personal and business checks and purchase orders.  Registration fee is payable to Rensselaer at Hartford and should be mailed to the contact person at 25 Industrial Park Road, Middletown, CT 06457. Please put the Event Code and SERC Member Number on your checks or purchase orders. Payment is due prior to the session upon confirmation of participation. It would be a per-TEAM fee if there is a "T" in the registration fee field, otherwise it refers to a per-person fee. Some team-based activities do take registration fees individually so please check with the contact person if you have any questions.
  5. Special Accommodation Request. If you have special needs such as disability accommodation, please email the contact person for assistance.
  6. Edit Your Profile. Once you log in your account, click the "Hello USERNAME" in red at the upper right corner. It will bring your profile and you can start to edit your information.
  7. Inclement Weather Notice. SERC has weather extension 267 for participants regarding session-specific delay or cancellation. Participants can call after 6:30 AM on the day of the training.
  8. Continuing Education Units (CEUs). For the detail information about SERC CEU policy, please visit www.ctserc.org

*If you cannot come to the workshop as scheduled, please call SERC to withdraw your application at least ten (10) days prior to the workshop date.
